Making a vertical garden for your home is an easy DIY garden project you can put together in even the smallest space in your store or on your veranda.
If you’re in need of some inspiration for designing a vertical garden for your home, community or office space we are here to help.
Here are a couple of DIY ideas we love:
- A vertical pallet garden is an easy (and thrifty) way to design a rustic garden filled with lush veg and greenery. Visit your local garden store where you can get your hands on a free or second-hand pallet. It might need a little love and care to spring it back to life, but it will be worth it.
- Hanging baskets make the perfect vertical gardens. The bonus is they are not high maintenance or difficult to install. Reuse up-cycled baskets or other objects by fixing them to a sturdy wall, fence, door or fixture.
- Re-purpose your old shoe hanger or pop into your local discount shop and buy one. As quirky as it may seem these hangers make the perfect home for a range of luscious green leaves and exotic ferns. Shoe hangers are lightweight and allow water in and out with ease making the ideal pot! That’s perfect for any busy-bee who wants a quick, tasteful splash of green in their garden.
- This project is a little more tricky, but with our guidance, we think your up to it. Try to build a hanging gutter garden. With the right placement and materials, you can successfully grow a unique (and thriving) hanging garden. Get your hands on some old pipe for your hanging garden bed – saving you some serious dollars.
These stunning hanging gardens will brighten up and beautify any space.
